First of all, to be a good construction craftsman, you have to take an apprenticeship. When you finish your training, it is a good idea to join a construction team supervised by an experienced leader; this way, you will keep improving your skills under expert guidance. Only after a few years you become experienced enough to be able to contract projects on your own.

The field of construction is quite risky. You have to follow strict safety rules, otherwise you can have many problems; in the most unfortunate cases, you can even get serious injuries. This job can be stressful both physically and mentally. You must often work outdoors, in various temperatures, because construction projects are contracted all year round. Even when you work indoors, you may have to cope with difficult conditions and get used with this.

If you want to earn better, you have to specialize in as many directions as possible and, why not, take into account career advancement to construction management.
