Joining the construction industry and landing one of the Denver jobs can be the single best thing you might consider doing with your career. Whether you plan on being a mason, working as a manager or even becoming an architect, construction is an amazing industry filled with many possibilities and money making opportunities.
As a construction worker, you have to join an apprenticeship before starting out as a professional. In most cases this is true, however, some companies also train complete novices, so it’s not necessarily a fact in all cases.
You can typically join an apprenticeship at just about any age, as long as you’re eligible to work in your area. At an apprenticeship, you are then required to show up, go through intense theoretical training – involving subjects such as maths, physics and learning about the composition of various construction materials – and, of course, lots of practical training on the job while being supervised and guided by a professional trainer.
While working and studying with an apprenticeship, you will learn the absolute basics and gain the necessary training, experience and stamina to deal with difficult and complex construction projects. Team work is also an essential part of the training, and even the most novice construction workers learn just how important it is to work well together as a team.
