Some jobs in construction are known to be highly paid putting emphasis on the jobs in Colorado market, others are known to be extremely dangerous, even with protection gear on, there are some that require decades of learning, while others are available without requiring candidates to possess any prior training or certificates. Now here are some that are unusual and you might have never heard of:
- Cost estimator – this position involves almost no physical labor. Cost estimators, as the name shows, estimate the costs of the construction project based on calculations and they visit job sites to evaluate the progress of the construction;
- Elevator installation and maintenance technician – most of us think about the process of installing, maintaining and repairing elevators only when we need to take the stairs because the elevator is not working. The technicians who install elevators and handle the related maintenance and repair tasks are highly skilled, well-paid and in high demand;
- Glaziers – these guys are the ones who step fearlessly out on the scaffolding and install glass exteriors. On most days, glaziers install windows in building interiors or safely standing inside the building and shower doors, but the best paid ones have no fear of height and are willing to undertake hazardous projects as well.
