Colorado has become one of the states in the country where the construction industry is among the most important, most reliably developing industry segments. An increasing number of large construction companies are making the decision to move to the state and the Centennial State is very attractive for smaller companies as well. However, there is one problem that all of them work hard to solve and that is not the shortage of projects, but the shortage of labor, especially skilled labor on the actual construction sites, and the re-building of infrastructure keep the road construction jobs in Colorado at high demand.
The construction industry in Colorado has been affected by labor shortage for quite a while. Local companies do their best to attract laborers from other states, their strategies including great payment and lots of other incentives. Job openings are available for skilled workers in many different trades and levels, for electricians, plumbers, painters and masons, for general laborers, office employees, for team leaders and engineers as well. Many large construction companies are trying to bridge the gap between the volume of projects and labor shortage by launching apprenticeship programs that provide great opportunities for learning a trade for those who don’t have any previous experience in the field of construction, but would like to try this exciting line of work.
